The following colors were used to paint my "Cliffs Karmann Ghia" model. Most of them are stock Revell colors, but I have mixed a few of them myself. These are the Revell colors I used for painting and mixing:
Revell# | Color Name | RAL# |
---|---|---|
01 | Glossy Clear | |
02 | Matte Clear | |
07 | Glossy Black | 9005 |
04 | Glossy White | 9010 |
90 | Metallic Aluminum/Silver | 9006 |
91 | Metallic Iron | 9007 |
378 | Semigloss Dark Gray | 7012 |
50 | Glossy Light Blue | 5012 |
34 | Glossy Ferrari Red | 3001 |
30 | Glossy Orange | 2009 |
I also used paint thinner and mirror paint from a DIY store.
These colors I mixed from the above:
The Darker Bermuda Blue turned out to be a rather problematic color. Despite being stored in a carefully sealed container it dried rather quickly and was pretty much unusable when the model was finished. It also seemed to adhere not as well as other colors. Note to self: use a primer with self-mixed colors.
