Cliffs Karmann Ghia

Colors

The following colors were used to paint my "Cliffs Karmann Ghia" model. Most of them are stock Revell colors, but I have mixed a few of them myself. These are the Revell colors I used for painting and mixing:

I also used paint thinner and mirror paint from a DIY store.

These colors I mixed from the above:

Darker Bermuda Blue

Glossy Light Blue and Glossy White

Flat Black

Glossy Black and Matte Clear

Glossy Light Gray

Semigloss Dark Gray and Glossy White

Translucent Red

Glossy Ferrari Red and Glossy Clear

Translucent Orange

Glossy Orange and Glossy Clear

Aging Paint

Lots of Matte Clear and some Glossy Black

Dirty Orange

Glossy Orange and Glossy Black

The Darker Bermuda Blue turned out to be a rather problematic color. Despite being stored in a carefully sealed container it dried rather quickly and was pretty much unusable when the model was finished. It also seemed to adhere not as well as other colors. Note to self: use a primer with self-mixed colors.
